My name is Grace and I am a Grammy of two beautiful granddaughters that I love so very much. My first granddaughter is Nevaeha Rikol Humphrey, she is 5 years old. And is a grammy's girl. Every grandchild has a special name for their grandma. I am Grammy. Nevaeha has two brothers RJ and Jayden, and a sister Mila. She is a daddy’s girl for sure. I assist Richard and Christina in choosing her middle name. We combined her daddy's name, Richard and her Auntie Alarra Kol‘s middle name. And named her middle name Rikol. One of a kind name and very special to all of us. Nevaeha loves shopping, and wants everyone to buy her lip gloss when we go to the store. She has more lip gloss than me. So she is a lip gloss kind of gal. She loves carrying her purse full of makeup and wearing boots. A girly girl for sure on our hands. When she visits Grammy she loves watching videos and movies on my cell phone. I am excited to welcome my second granddaughter in January 2018. Her name is Gracie Marie Harris. She inspired me to build a website since she will reside in a different state and will not live close to her Grammy. This will allow all of us to watch my grand babies grow with updates and photos. That’s what Grammys do. I can’t wait for Gracie to be born. I am beyond blessed that Alarra and Ethan decided to name her after her Grammy. Gracie has an older brother named Brinson. My girls were born into a blended family. Now they both have one of their own.
I have two beautiful, and loving daughters, Christina and Alarra. They are 10 years apart. We have a special bond full of love for each other. Christina is my oldest daughter and is my mini me. She has a heart full of gold. And is an amazing mother to Nevaeha. Alarra is my youngest daughter and recently moved away to be with her fiance, Ethan. Alarra has figured out her own special way of being my youngest daughter. When we say baby, we mean she is my baby. She calls me mommy for certain reasons and momma for other reasons. Only we know what they mean. She also changes her tone of voice and talks like a baby when she wants something. Nevaeha has recently started doing the same technique of changing her voice when she wants something from Grammy. There isn’t a day that goes by that I don't talk to my girls at least once a day by phone. We always send a group text at night just to say "good night" before we go to bed. My girls will always know they are both loved and they are always on my mind. We welcomed my husband Jeff into our life in November 2012. My girls and Nevaeha gave him their own special name. He is Jeffy to my girls. If they don’t call him Jeffy he corrects them. I now have three beautiful step children, Brandon, Camille, and Jeremy. Nevaeha loves to spend much of her time with Cami. They love taking selfies. Cami is a wonderful Auntie to Nevaeha. We are all very blessed.
We spend every Sunday for family time now that my girls are grown and have a family of their own. Before having my granddaughters, we had mother daughter day and went to see a movie every Sunday. And of course do a little shopping. Now that I have my grandchildren, we spend our Sunday's going to lunch, shop a little, and then take some time and visit with Grammy and Jeffy. She is like her mommy, loves shopping and family time. Nevaeha's Great Grampa and I spend every Wednesday at her swim lessons. She is now in level 4 at Aqua Tots and keeps progressing really well. She looks forward to her snack that Grampa brings to every lesson. Her first day at lessons was a very emotional day for our sweet baby. She cried the entire session because she was scared of the water and now cries because there are too many boys in her class. She will continue lessons this coming year and will be starting gymnastics in November. Grammy wants her safe and active. I love watching her grow and will always be her biggest fan. We have a special bond and love for eachother. When we say goodbye whether it's time to leave swim lessons or just time to say goodbye from visiting Grammy, she has her own special way of saying goodbye. She kisses me three times and I get one big hug. If we forget the hug she will cry and tell me I forgot to hug her. I love spending my Sunday’s with Mila too. I treat her as my own granddaughter. So you will see many updates and photos of Mila. She was 9 months old when she was introduced to our family. She has a special place in my heart and she knows it. A Grammys love is one of the most beautiful feelings. I strive to be the best Grammy. I am looking forward to see what Gracie will be like, look like and love like. All I can say is, I am one lucky Grammy! God is great! I thank Him everyday for all of my blessings.
